Mission Statement

Invest Like An Owner (ILAO) is my simulated privately held investment holding company organized around two segment categories: Sector Segments and Strategic Management Segments. The holding company acquires minority equity interests in businesses across a broad range of industries and strategies, including consumer, manufacturing, experiential, financial services and insurance, real estate, transportation and communications, technology, healthcare, fashion and apparel, foundational industries, special situations, businesses at key inflection points, and other related sectors.

"Confidence, Profits, and Growth."  ILAO is in the business of capital allocation and my investment strategy is grounded in rigorous valuation discipline.  I essentially use my valuations as a way of weighting to determine allocations.  Strategic priorities include identifying well-managed companies with strong fundamentals and long-term potential, and applying a selective approach to capital allocation. As a passive investor, ILAO does not participate in the operations or management of the businesses held. Rather, the diversified portfolio is closely monitored and built to preserve capital, capture long-term growth, and remain resilient across market cycles.
