"My Subsidiaries"

I treat my investment portfolio as if it's my own privately held investment holding company.  I consider the various companies, whose stocks I own, to be "my subsidiaries" in my holding company.

Although I have 100% control over my holding company, I only hold a minority interest in each of "my subsidiaries."

Essentially, I can only control my decisions to buy or sell (acquire or divestiture) or adjust allocations (partial divestiture or add/buyback shares) of "my subsidiaries" within my holding company.
